IVAN FORCADELL

Abstract art in the rural environment, Barcelona

“I have grown up in a small community, linked to respect for nature and agriculture. This is what I believe in and this is what I hope it will go along with me all my life, wherever I am.

Not only the most obvious part, such as the typical elements of these places, but the thinking and the ability to reinvent and use things, which I have seen in this scenario.

It is true that I have come to the conclusion that agriculture is and will be an abstract art because: ¿Because how is it possible to grow a forest through a seed?

I became an artist like many others out of my own necessity, to find meaning in what is called life, to use time while I was bedridden or in a wheelchair, but it is true that over time I have evolved in creating to the others, creating collections of themes that always start with the natural, the rural or simply a problem, but that try in the end result, to contribute something new, even if it is simply a possibility of seeing something from a different point of view. Maybe this is daring, but it is what I’m trying.”
